The Nigerian Football Federation announced this Thursday the list of players called by coach Eric Chelle for the African Cup which will be held between this month of December and January. The Sevillists Akor Adams … and Chidera Ejuke were included in the call for this continental tournament.
The Sevilla attackers are part of the 28-man list and will have to join the Nigerian team’s training camp next Monday. On December 16, they will play the only friendly match before the tournament against Egypt.
Nigeria will make their debut in the tournament on Tuesday, December 23 in a match against Tanzania. In the group stage, they will also face Tunisia on Saturday 27 and Uganda on Tuesday 30. Akor Adams and Ejuke will play this way on Sunday against Oviedo in their last match with Sevilla until their team is eliminated. They are confirmed absent for the Copa del Rey match against Alavés and the championship match against Real Madrid. They could also miss matches against Levante, Celta and Elche in January and an extra day of the Copa del Rey if Almeyda’s men overcome the draw against Alavés.
