Tachyonix, a technology startup created by two Brazilians and now based in Israel, has been granted a patent in the United States that recognizes the pioneering nature of its SAP software adaptation system – a company competing for the most valuable position in Europe.
SAP software is the most widely used business management system in the world. According to Tachyonix, it is adopted by more than 400,000 business groups worldwide and around 15,000 in Brazil, including 85% of the country’s 500 largest companies.
However, when purchasing, the software must go through adaptation processes to adapt to the needs of each company. And that’s where the Brazilian startup comes in.
Other companies had already made these adaptations before. Brazil is the second largest software adaptation market in the world, behind Russia. But the pioneering spirit of Tachyonix consists, according to the company, of simplifying and automating a historically manual, long and complex process.
In the United States, the patent approval process lasted about four years, during which the company had to pass a provisional step without difficulty.
The decision to file the first patent application in the United States was strategic, as approval in the world’s largest patent market tends to facilitate recognition in other jurisdictions, notably Brazil, where the process is already being finalized, according to the company.
“Obtaining this patent is a fundamental step for Tachyonix. It not only creates a strong barrier against copies, guaranteeing the exclusivity of our technology, but also strengthens our position as ‘SAP Build’ in the SAP store with legal protection,” says engineer Rogério Balassiano, co-founding partner of Tachyonix.
The company does not disclose its revenue, but says its size has doubled every year since 2022, and is expected to break even (balance between revenue and expenses) at the end of this year.
