With the end of the season for most Brazilian clubs, charity games are gaining importance, as is the initiative of two athletes who played for the Gre-Nal duo. After all, former players Dunga and Tinga, through the “Tamo Junto” project, led by the former number 5 of Grêmio and the former number 16 of Internacional, are preparing a friendly match against the Porto Alegre sweepers. In this case, the friendly match will take place between members of the state society “Cootravipa” and notable figures from the history of Colorado and Immortal. The duel will take place at 9:30 a.m., next Sunday (14), at SESC Protásio.

Entrance to the solidarity event is free provided you donate 1 kg of non-perishable food. In addition to Dunga – who will captain the former players’ team – and Tinga, Lucas Leiva, Luiz Mário, Edílson, Leanderson and Marcelo Moreno have also confirmed their presence. Besides Índio, former world champion defender with Internacional in 2006.
Indeed, the other characters who will be present are Moledo, Labarthe, Diego and Diogo. The team commander will be Celso Roth, who has led Rio Grande do Sul’s two main teams to significant moments. In the case of Colorado, he was the coach of the second Libertadores championship in 2010. As for Grêmio, he managed the Brazilian runner-up team in 2008.
Destination of donations and tribute to the sweepers
The participation of street cleaners associated with “Cootravipa” aims to highlight the responsibility of the state institution in terms of social inclusion. In addition, the initiative aims to strengthen and highlight the importance of the work of cleaning professionals in Porto Alegre.
All food from donations to accompany the charity game will be sent to the following social institutions: Support Clinic for Children and Adolescents of Esperança (Ceacri), Association of Support for People from Islands and Peripheries (AAAPIP) and Community Center of Vila Orfanotrófio 1 (Cencor 1). All these entities carry out social practices, in addition to providing assistance to families who find themselves in precarious conditions in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul.
