Senator and presidential candidate María Fernanda Cabal, a well-known figure of the Democratic Center, took advantage of the promotion of her book I am Cabal to share an anecdote from his personal life that surprised participants and Internet users when he shared it on his social networks.

The marriage between Cabal and Lafaurie is one of the most discussed in the Colombian political sphere, since together they form one of the most emblematic couples of Uribism and are characterized by their strong positions against the country’s political left.
The senator began her speech with the joking words: “Since he is late for everything (…)”. This sentence caused great laughter among those present as she took the opportunity to recall an important moment in her life: “You were late for my wedding, Pepe, for heaven’s sake. You were late and you blamed the driver who had to pick you up.”
Cabal’s words were accompanied by a smile, as if someone were recalling with affection and humor an episode that, although a little annoying at the time, became an anecdote that he told in the middle of his autobiographical book.
