Audi has started selling the Audi Aerofoils in Brazil, an electric hoverboard described by the manufacturer as “capable of offering a gliding experience on water” with a feeling of “flight” and positioned at prices comparable to those of 0 km vans. The product is sold in four versions, costing between R$245,000 and R$298,000, and can be purchased to order from the brand’s dealers in the country.
The launch was highlighted during the first edition of the Audi e-tron Experience, held from December 3 to 6 in Praia do Preá, Ceará. The equipment is controlled using a remote control with a color screen that displays information on speed, distance, duration of use and battery level, and has three driving modes adaptable to different user profiles.
There are two battery options: a lighter one with a range of up to 20 kilometers (around 60 minutes of use) and another with a larger capacity of up to 40 kilometers (two hours of use), with full recharge times varying between 75 and 120 minutes with an industrial charger.
The intermediate models, Performance (83L) and Adventure (103L) cost R$285,000. The cheapest, Airfly, costs R$245,000 and the most expensive, Competition, costs R$298,000.
Before autonomous use, the automaker recommends one-day hands-on training with certified instructors.
