Next game from the creators of Neon Giant announced at The Game Awards 2025 for consoles and PC
Krafton today (11) revealed No Law, an open-world first-person RPG shooter set in the decadent cyber-noir city of Port Desire. The game is developed by Neon Giant, the Swedish studio responsible for The Ascent, and was revealed globally at The Game Awards 2025.
No Law is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, and does not yet have a release date.
In No Law, players take on the role of Gray Harker, a former military man who left his war-torn past behind to live a peaceful life tending to his plants, until trouble returns looking for him. When his peace is violently disrupted, Harker must call on his special ops instincts and personalized arsenal to take back what was taken and take on the city that betrayed him.
Set in Port Desire, a massive port carved into cliffs facing rough seas, No Law invites players to explore a world built on decaying neon lights instead of laws. The city is an important and equally extravagant center, populated by peculiar characters whose motivations are as nebulous as the smoky horizon. From rooftop gardens to shaded alleys, every corner of Port Desire is alive, responsive, and shaped by the player’s choices.
Every decision counts. Help a friend in need or silence an enemy for good; advance from the shadows with stealth tactics or sow chaos in open combat. Even in a city without laws, actions always have consequences. Each campaign reveals new possibilities, allies, and outcomes, making No Law an immersive shooter, defined as much by its storytelling and morality as by its firepower.
Developed in Unreal Engine 5, No Law combines visceral first-person combat with broad player decision-making power. Whether you prioritize precision, stealth, or outright destruction, your approach determines the experience. Master advanced military upgrades, experiment with sci-fi tools and vertical movement mechanics, and turn each mission into a personal story of vengeance, consequences, and survival.
“No Law represents the next step for us as a studio” said Claës af Burén, general manager of Neon Giant, via a press release. “With The Ascent, we’ve built a solid foundation for our approach to worldbuilding, systems, and storytelling. This new project takes everything we’ve learned and applies it to a completely different type of experience – bigger, more responsive, and more personal than any experience we’ve ever made.”
