The irregularities were discovered by the Household Hygiene Products, Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Division of the Directorate of Health Products Surveillance Evaluation and Management (DEYGMPS) during a market inspection in which “no products were found whose identifying data correspond to those on the labeling of the above-mentioned cosmetics.”
The same company, in turn, stated that “this Hair straightener that are marketed without proper health registration pose a serious threat to the health of the population because may contain formalin (formaldehyde). as a smoothing agent.

“In addition, with chronic exposure, they can cause everything from hypersensitivity and allergic dermatitis to an increased likelihood of the occurrence of carcinomas, especially of the nasopharynx,” the ANMAT emphasized in the recitals of the provision.
The decision to withdraw these products from the market was ultimately taken with the aim of “protecting potential users from the effects resulting from the use of the products in question, since they are illegal products that are not registered with ANMAT, whose manufacturing plant is unknown and for which it is therefore not possible to provide guarantees as to their effectiveness, safety and/or formulation with ingredients permitted by the regulations currently in force.”
On the other hand, through the Regulation 9043/2025The ANMAT banned the use, marketing, publication and distribution throughout the national territory of the products referred to as “Ion – Biozapper”, “Ion Electron – Ion Detox Spa” and “Ion Detox – Ionic Foot Bath” until they have the relevant registrations and health authorizations.
The measure is due to the fact that “No signature is permitted before ANMAT under the name Ion Detox, and medical products called Bio Zapper, Ion Electron or Ionic Footbath are also registered.
The official text indicates that these items were sold through a website where the company described itself as “a company dedicated to this.” comprehensive well-beingis focused on providing innovative solutions to improve the body’s health and natural balance.”

Consequently, ANMAT argues, the decision responds to the fact that “human trafficking Medical devices without registration whose suitability cannot be guaranteed” and whose lack of control “dangerous to health“.
