As soon as they opened the gate and began entering the property, police say they were greeted by at least two gunshots, believed to have been fired by Márcio.
The PM entered the house and returned fire, fatally wounding the suspect, who, according to the investigation, is a member of the CV, a Rio de Janeiro faction with a strong presence in Rio Claro and the region, as previously revealed by the Metropolises.
Márcio, according to the command of the Prime Minister of the region, would also be a collector sport shooter and hunter (CAC), a condition that, according to the Prime Minister, is used for the benefit of criminals.
According to the investigation – still under judicial secrecy – he had simulated a theft from his arsenal, to supply weapons to the CV cell in the region.
Weapons, ammunition, two cell phones and R$837 were seized in the house where Márcio was.

Simultaneous action
While Baep police officers allegedly exchanged gunfire with Lemão, another team was in Jardim Cherveson, also executing a search warrant at the home of a 51-year-old man.
With the help of sniffer dog Yran, 12 marijuana tablets, 400 grams of cocaine paste and R$5,000 were found.
The man admitted to possessing marijuana but denied the cocaine belonged to him, saying the drugs belonged to his brother, whose identity is not listed in police documents. He would be the main target of the search warrant.
Weapon and ammunition
In the Park Palmeira neighborhood, the third search warrant was executed at the home of a 33-year-old suspect, identified as a member of the CV.
A pistol, four magazines, 66 cartridges, a cell phone, weapons documents and a surveillance system with cameras were seized.
The elements will be attached to the evidence that makes up Gaeco’s investigation.
The suspects’ defense has not been located and the space remains open to demonstrations.
