Reports of cases of abuse against PSOE officials continue to make political headlines this Friday, when PSOE Equality Secretary Pilar Bernabé summoned federations’ Equality officials to a face-to-face meeting, sources familiar with the meeting report said. Before that, the current secretary of the Socialist Organization, Rebeca Torró, will present to Ferraz the report on the complaints of harassment ignored for months against Francisco Salazar, former advisor to Moncloa, who resigned in July. Last night, Javier Izquierdo, a prominent member of the current PSOE leadership, also suddenly resigned from his position following another alleged case of harassment within the party. His resignation comes just one day after that of the president of the Provincial Council of Lugo and provincial secretary of the PSOE, José Tomé.
