Donald Trump knew more than he was telling. At least that’s what appears from a new series of emails released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.
According to these letters, Jeffrey Epstein wrote that Donald Trump knew about the crimes of the deceased financier and sexual predator. In the three emails revealed, Epstein told his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, that Trump “spent hours” at his home with one of his victims.
In two other emails to writer Michael Wolff, Epstein wrote: “Of course I knew something about the girls,” referring to the current president.
According to the messages, Epstein also asked Wolf for advice on how to handle Trump’s conversation about their friendship in an interview with CNN.
Wolfe writes: “I think you should let him drown on his own. If he says he wasn’t on the plane or home, that gives you a valuable advantage. You can hurt him in a way that is likely to benefit you, or, if he really seems like he can win, you can bail him out and create a debt.”
“The more Donald Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we will discover,” the ranking member of the House committee, Democratic Congressman Robert Garcia, said in a statement. “These recent emails and correspondence raise serious questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the president.”
The Epstein case is being revived as the House returns from nearly two months of hibernation to vote on the legislative package to reopen the federal government, and Mike Johnson finally empowers Texas Democratic Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva.
Grijalva will provide the 218 signature needed to force a vote in the House of Representatives to release all Epstein investigation files.
