Palma, December 12 (EFE). – Yesterday evening, the Civil Guard arrested seven men and two women accused of being involved in an altercation on a plane as it was about to take off from Palma, an airport to which it had previously been diverted en route between Rabat (Morocco) and Istanbul (Turkey).
The flight commander, who had already prepared for takeoff, had to abandon the operation due to the confrontation inside the ship that forced the Civil Guard to act, according to a report by Diario de Mallorca on Friday, which sources in the armed institute confirmed to EFE.
As a result of the confrontation, the Civil Guard arrested seven men and two women who were accused of public order crimes. They are scheduled to be brought before the relevant court this Friday.
For their part, Aena sources confirmed to EFE that the flight was from the airline Air Arabia and had to be diverted to Palma airport on the route between Rabat and Istanbul.
According to the above-mentioned media, the plane requested to land at Son Sant Joan airport to resolve an issue. EFE
