The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) will intensify the alcohol and drug control driving, just during the week when Christmas lunches and dinners are traditionally celebrated among friends and work colleagues.
This is a new control and awareness campaign on the risk posed by the combination of alcohol and/or drug consumption and driving and which will be carried out between the 15th and 21st of this month.
According to the DGT, the checks, carried out by agents of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard, will be carried out at any time of the day and on any road.
Traffic has invited local police to join the campaign to carry out monitoring as close as possible to consumption areas and avoid greater exposure to risks
