The Citizen Portal of the Government of Castilla y León will integrate the Unique Social History with relevant user information related to their social protection process, after combining 50 databases from different administrations for the consultation of 4,000 professionals. … in the field of social services but also for the 1.5 million people who have benefited from various aids and benefits, participated in itineraries and courses and requested resources. In this way, system workers will be able to access this updated data, in a secure and above all coordinated way, in addition to carrying out more agile, consistent and efficient procedures, which will lead, among other things, to the elimination of the use of paper.
A step that required a lot of effort since 2015 when CAastilla y León was the first community in Spain to regulate unique social history and this was possible thanks to the interconnection of the different IT tools used by those who manage all types of services. The scale of these is great, since in 2024 alone, 352,000 people were informed about their rights, benefits and procedures, 86,000 users benefited from new benefits, 126,000 citizens in a situation of dependency were assisted and there were nearly 1.7 million active benefits.

Technological innovation at the service of the inhabitants of Castilla y León’, the Vice-President of the Council and Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Isabel Blanco, highlighted that the regional administration integrates technological innovations “with the people in mind” and to make their lives easier. “The implementation of the Single Social History is not the end but the beginning of a network that will have to be adapted and improved with the incorporation of data from Third Sector entities, the General Administration of the State and, in the future, clinical and health records of users,” he emphasized in statements collected by Ical.
