The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, gave the greatest seriousness to the situation of the government after the latest arrests and searches linked to a new corruption plot linked to the one investigated by the former organizational secretary of the PSOE Santos Cerdán. “We are in an unprecedented spiral of arrests, corruption, machismo and extortion. Yesterday (this Thursday), nearly 20 inspections were carried out in different state agencies. This morning, they entered the first and third vice-presidencies of the Government and public bodies. Today, the National Police and the Civil Guard entered the first vice-presidency of the Government, the number two of the Executive and the party. We cannot continue like this. Nobody can stand this,” Feijóo complained in Herrera del Duque (Badajoz), during a campaign event in Extremadura.
The leader of the PP affirms that “there is a movement of decomposition of the State, of unprecedented deterioration of the institutions” and demands the resignation of the President of the Government and the calling of elections. “We are in a situation of decomposition that we must stop and open an electoral period,” insisted Feijóo. The opposition leader also addressed the government’s partners and asked them to stop being “concealers and accomplices” of these irregular actions which the police are investigating. “It is better to stop this bleeding now,” he stressed.
Later, Feijóo traveled to Puebla de Alcocer, a town of just over 1,000 inhabitants in Badajoz. “He sanchism He corrupted everything he touched. We Spaniards cannot consent to total degradation. I want them to say it in the election. May we all be consistent with what our country is suffering,” he said.
And he asked disgruntled socialists to vote. “It doesn’t matter if they voted for the PSOE, now we have to vote for Extremadura. And by voting for Extremadura we will start political change.”
