Miss Universe 2025 winner Fatima Bosch walked out of a live interview after being asked about the controversies surrounding the pageant. At the end of the first part of the show Pica y se Extiende, she refused to continue participating and left the channel’s studios.
During the conversation, presenters Lourdes Stephen and Carlos Adyan addressed the controversies surrounding the Mexican’s victory. She had previously revealed that, since receiving the crown, she had been the target of attacks, even death threats. The prints published by her show hate messages in several languages, with users insulting her and accusing her of manipulating the competition results.
The interviewers also discussed other issues that have marked this edition of Miss Universe, such as the impasse over Miss Ivory Coast’s passport, the criminal allegations against Mexican businessman Raúl Rocha Cantú, president of the organization, and the defamation lawsuit recently filed against the winner herself.

At one point in the interview, Fatima asked the presenters to steer the conversation toward her work and social projects, avoiding topics that she said “had nothing to do with that.”
The duo explained that the questions concerned public interest and that it was part of journalistic work to answer them. The episode took place last Sunday (12/7), but was only made public on Monday (12/8), during the broadcast of En Casa con Telemundo.

“We have asked all the questions from the public and we must emphasize that our commitment and that of the broadcaster is to represent everyone among us, the viewers, in addition to the commitment we have with you and with transparency,” explained Carlos.
Accusation of lying
At one point during the show, the presenters asked Fatima Bosch about an alleged lawsuit she filed against Thai businessman Nawat Itsaragrisil, one of the directors of Miss Universe.
The two were embroiled in controversy after Itsaragrisil publicly embarrassed the model during an event. At the time, Fatima was reprimanded for refusing to post promotional content, an episode that was broadcast live and which caused several contestants to leave the venue in protest.
In the interview, Fatima denied the existence of proceedings against the businessman. However, Carlos Adyan said that before the recording began, she said the exact opposite.
“Off camera, I asked her about this topic of the process and how she handled it. What she told me was that basically her father already knew about it and she was already taking care of this situation on a legal level. So yes, she is aware that this request exists, even though she didn’t express it that way in the interview,” Adyan said.
