Francisco Machado brings together friends and family to celebrate his 80th birthday

In a true journey to his own roots, gastroenterologist Francisco Machado celebrated his 80th birthday with an impeccable reception at Villa Rizza last Monday (12/8). The event, with 180 guests, brought together friends and family to honor the doctor’s life journey, marked by affection, history and belonging.

Made in shades of green and white, the decoration, as well as all the stationery, paid homage to the northeastern hinterland, birthplace of the birthday boy, born in Ceará. The theme was followed to the letter: Lampião and Maria Bonita welcomed the guests, marked from their arrival by the sensitive interpretation of the bagpipe player Paulo Lessa, accompanied by a accordion. Even the visual identity followed the regional aesthetic, inspired by woodcut – a relief technique that uses a carved wooden matrix to compose images.

Reception for guests celebrating the 80th birthday of Dr. Francisco Machado

Accompanied by his wife Rita Márcia and his daughters Natália Machado and Mariana Polidório, the doctor welcomed relatives and friends from all regions of Brazil to pay tribute to him. The brother arrived from Vitória especially for the night, along with friends from Fortaleza and Aracaju, who insisted on being present.

The celebration took on even more charm with the performance of the Anderson Estima group, who livened up the evening with an eclectic repertoire, full of Brazilian musicality and typical rhythms of the Northeast.

Signed by Villa Rizza, the menu included a fish broth cocktail, shrimp bobó with coconut rice and meat escondidinho with pumpkin puree. For dinner, green pepper steak, chestnut-crusted whiting with champagne sauce, slices of green ricotta with walnuts and four cheeses, citrus risotto and farofa couscous with bacon, as well as slices of potatoes were served.

The evening also featured drink specials and Wine C pairings.
