The tense atmosphere surrounding the Copa do Brasil semi-final row is affecting Corinthians fans. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a self-confessed Corinthians fan, took the opportunity to joke after a meeting he had this Friday (12).
At an event in São Paulo, Lula took a photo with STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes and Timão’s former player and idol Ronaldo. In the message published on social networks, the president wrote: “4 Corinthians supporters look at each other (and think about Sunday’s match)”, in reference to the return duel against Cruzeiro, in the semi-final of the Brazilian Cup.

Like the president, Moraes is an open Corinthians fan and is frequently seen at matches at the Neo Química Arena. Ronaldo is one of Timão’s recent greats, winning the competition the year he joined the club, in 2009.
Corinthians have an advantage in the confrontation to reach the final. Last Wednesday (10), Timão beat Cruzeiro 1-0, in Mineirão. As a result, they will play the tie at home to secure their place in the decider.
