A plastic surgeon has been arrested, accused of raping a patient while she was anesthetized in an operating room in Murcia, after two nurses surprised him and recorded him with their cell phones.

The victim was going to undergo chest surgery and was already under sedation, while only the surgeon and two nurses from the center were in the operating room. They noticed that the doctor was making strange movements, apparently sexual in naturenext to the patient.

The nurses went to the police. Since it was a sex crime, the case was taken over by the Family and Female Reception Unit (UFAM) of the Region of Murcia. Officers located the surgeon and detained him at his mother’s home, in the province of Alicante.
The Molina de Segura court took charge of the investigation. The two nurses and the victim have already testified and this Friday, The detainee asserted his right not to testify.
