
A woman died this Friday afternoon (12/12), when she was struck by a falling tree. The case occurred on Arminda de Lima Street, in Guarulhos, in the São Paulo metropolitan region.
According to Civil Defense, the tree fell on a bus stop around 4:38 p.m. Two people were immediately affected. The second suffered a head injury and was taken to the emergency room of the Guarulhos General Hospital.

“Civil Defense agents carried out an inspection around the school and the bus stop to identify the risk of further falls and reinforced surveillance of the affected areas. The location was left safe, ensuring adequate conditions for the movement of pedestrians and vehicles,” the agency said in a statement.
According to firefighters, the victim was contacted on site. The road was temporarily closed to remove the tree and clean the area.
