Check out the highlights of the match here:
- START UNDER CONTROL: The first 15 minutes were tepid, with Flamengo in control in terms of ball possession, but with little offensive action from the red and black team. The only big chance was in a set-up from Plata to Cebolinha, who fired over the Pyramids defender. The Egyptian team didn’t even threaten.
- ⚽FLAMENGO GOAL! Flamengo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute of the first half. Arrascaeta took a free kick down the left side of the attack, Léo Pereira rose above the defense and headed it into the back of the net.
- ALMOST ZERO: Flamengo cooked the rest of the 1st half, but let their guard down in the final stretch and got scared. Striker Mayele received a ball and found himself in front of goal, but Rossi made a superb save and avoided a draw.
