Storm Emilia reaches the province of Valencia with “the most intense precipitation, heavy or very heavy, locally torrential”. The Generalitat sent an alert message to all cell phones this afternoon at 7:23 p.m. in which he advises to “look for the high areas.”
The National Meteorological Agency indicates that the situation this Sunday in the province of Valencia also includes these “persistent” rains which are “accompanied by thunderstorms”. And, in fact, he emphasizes that precipitation “could locally accumulate more than 180 liters in 12 hours”. A figure similar to that indicated during the arrival of Dana on October 29, 2024.
This episode of rain, as Aemet points out, will continue during the early hours of Monday 15. The agency recalls that “due to the uncertainty inherent in this type of situation, small changes in the position of low altitudes, and/or in the wind configuration at low levels, can cause variations in the location and intensity of precipitation”.
