When the Christmas ball in Zocodover Square stopped flashing and the final chords of K-Pop’s “Golden” played, a group of around 50 residents of the Historic Centerauthorized by the Delegation of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La … Mancha, was focused, making his way through the hundreds of tourists who, on another Saturday, filled the streets and squares of the famous Christmas lights route.
With proclamations such as “We want to live, not survive” or “Wherever you look, everyone is a guiris”, residents once again called for a solution to highlight the public administrations, guarantors of coexistence between neighbors and tourists. Although the noise from the street exceeded that of the demonstrators, the truth is that more than one foreigner was interested in the situation, while others, because there is everything in this country, did not hesitate to question the cause of the residents: “Go live in a cigar!”said a passerby.
In addition to this lack of respect, concentration has developed in a climate of good neighborlinessthe same that these neighbors do not want to lose for the simple fact of living in the heart of the regional capital, a neighborhood that, on special dates and on public holidays, raises the curtain on the tourist spectacle forgetting those who give life to these little places 365 days a year.
