
Flamengo remains alive in the Intercontinental Cup. The red-black team beat Pyramids 2 x 0 this Saturday (13/12) and secured a place in the final of the competition. Additionally, the Cariocas also won the Challenger Cup. The duel marked the meeting of the champions of the FIFA Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup and the Derby of the Americas. By defeating the Egyptians, Mengão also won another trophy this season.

With qualification for the Intercontinental Cup final, Flamengo only has one match left in the season. The red and black team will return to the field next Wednesday (17/12) at 2:00 p.m. (Brasilia time) for the final phase of the competition. If they beat their French opponent, Mengão will add six goals to his tally this season alone:
