Atlético Mineiro have taken concrete steps in negotiations to sign Juninho Capixaba and are trying to accelerate the deal ahead of the 2026 season. The 28-year-old left-back has been at RB Bragantino for three years and welcomes a change of scenery, especially given the Minas Gerais club’s planned restructuring project.
According to Itatiaia’s investigation, Galo leaders met with Bragantino representatives on Saturday to discuss the final transfer. Progress in conversations is considered significant and those close to the player evaluate the scenario positively, both from a sporting point of view and from the moment of the athlete’s career.
