Visual artist and influencer Carol Stefanini conquered social media by showing off a personalized helmet that she planned to give as a gift to Lewis Hamilton, during the Formula 1 star’s visit to São Paulo to attend the Brazilian Grand Prix, last Sunday (9/11).
Carroll showed on his networks how he gained behind-the-scenes access to the race at Interlagos and came within a few meters of the British driver. However, before he could deliver the gift, Ferrari team members took the helmet from the artist’s hands – and Hamilton was unable to see the tribute up close.

to CapitalsCarroll said the saga began days before the race, when several helmets were found dumped in the middle of the street. With the aim of transforming what others consider trivial into art, the artist decided, based on the suggestion of her followers, to dedicate the piece to Hamilton.
“For the artwork, I was inspired by the colors of Ayrton Senna’s helmet, mainly yellow, as well as Senna’s famous curves at Interlagos. Senna is Hamilton’s biggest idol, so I was sure he would love this tribute.”
“When I was searching, I discovered that his pet dog and best friend, called Roscoe, had passed away. My artist mind immediately associated this pain with the pain we felt when we lost Senna, so I drew the puppy with angel wings, as Hamilton handed him to Ayrton Senna with a halo.”

“Furthermore, the helmet has gold leaf and drawn phrases representing Hamilton’s tattoo, his number and the car he drives. This art is like a piece of Brazil that he can take home. He is my favorite driver and I accepted the challenge (from my followers) and when I started posting new helmet customization videos, my audience was very engaged with the idea of trying to hand the helmet directly to the driver directly at the Grand Prix.”
The influencer only had four days to finish the artwork. Until then, I had no idea how to reach a Formula 1 star.
The resonance of Carol’s videos on social media was so great that she was able to turn the influencer’s dream into reality. The flyers guaranteed her a VIP ticket to the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, with access to the team’s garage – including Ferrari. Along the way, she met great personalities who were also present at the event, such as Maísa, and Adriane Galisteu, who witnessed the artist’s tribute to Senna up close.
“I went to bed one night without a ticket, went to SP, with no guarantee of anything and the next day I woke up with a VIP ticket to get into the Ferrari pit. This kind of thing only happens in movies, doesn’t it?” Carroll joked.

Carroll was just meters away from handing the helmet directly to Lewis Hamilton. The dream seemed more real than ever. However, Ferrari team members took the gift from the influencer’s hands before she had a chance to see the driver up close.
to CapitalsThe artist said that she had not received any information about the whereabouts of the helmet or whether it had actually reached the British athlete. However, on social media, someone claiming to have Formula 1 experience told her that the artwork would have to be approved by the Ferrari team and then coordinated by Hamilton’s personal team to finally reach the driver’s personal collection. “The only thing I know for sure is that they took the personal helmet,” he said.

Even if the helmet saga doesn’t reach the conclusion the influencer expected, Carroll admits it will still be just as glamorous. “I feel very happy and satisfied,” she celebrates, “because even though I couldn’t get it to him directly, what made me even happier was seeing the support and passion from Brazil in trying to help me!” However, on Wednesday morning (11/12), Hamilton noticed her on social media.
Lewis Hamilton: “Very nice, thank you!”/Carol: “Do you have it? Oh my God, I love that you like it (the helmet)”
the Capitals I contacted the Scuderia Ferrari communications team to ask about the location of the personalized gift. The Italian racing team has not yet responded to the report. The space remains open.
