Before he was fatally shocked, the 44-year-old man, who was run over by a drunk driver in a DF-130, near the rural center Café Sim Truko, in Paranoa (DF), managed to save his 13-year-old son. The two were walking together on the side of the highway at the time of the accident. The case happened on Tuesday night (11/11).
In a statement from the Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF), the truck driver who witnessed the collision said that the drunk driver overtook his truck on the shoulder. At that moment, the suspect’s car allegedly hit the father and son who were walking on the side of the road. The truck driver said the 44-year-old man pushed the boy so that he would not be injured.

The driver fled after the collision, but police found him moments later. He conducted an alcohol test when approached, and the result was positive for drinking alcohol. The suspect, whose name was not revealed, was transferred to the 30th Police Station (Sao Sebastiao).

The Federal District Military Fire Department (CBMDF) was called and came to the aid of the 44-year-old, who was in cardiac and respiratory arrest when he was found by the military. The company said in a statement: “Despite all efforts, the victim did not move, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
