“Until victory always! Victory, victory, victory!” This is how Nicolás Maduro concluded on Sunday the 25th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of America (ALBA), the ideological and economic artifact created at the beginning of the century by Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro.

In the final resolutions, the leaders demanded “the immediate cessation of the military threat” from the Caribbean and the strong condemnation of the security strategy implemented by Washington. The Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, picked up the revolutionary glove held out by his ally and assured that the United States does not care about the consumption of narcotics in its country, but rather seeks to enslave the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. “We are no one’s backyard, we are sovereign countries.
