The María Santísima brotherhood of Quinta Angustia de Córdoba sees one of its major heritage projects moving forward, in particular the one that will define its corporate identity in the years to come. This is the flag.
The brotherhood released images of the work … what the embroiderer does Francisco Mira in his workshop for this piece. He is currently creating the various ornamental motifs when they must be mounted on the final support.
According to the project designed at the time by Curro Claros, one of the most powerful designers in Andalusia in recent years, it will be made on purple velvet. It’s a square fabricbut it is tied at the top of the mast, so that it resembles an irregular diamond.
In the center is the shield of the brotherhood, while in the lower border there is rich ornamentation. Francisco Mira used a multitude of different techniques for a very varied interpretation.
The last part has openwork mesh and ends with fringes, in a design full of personality. The goldsmithing is also done by someone from Cordoba. Emilio Leon.
In the pictures are finished pieces that will be arranged on the flag. On the right, the Curro Claros project
This must be the first badge of visual identity of the brotherhood based in the church of La Merced, which last year made its debut in the street with its penitential habit, with a white tunic, as a representation.
It was in the brotherhood of Peace, even if they also wanted to do it in the Cistercianbut the Holy Tuesday brotherhood suspended its period of penance.
The brotherhood also presented the project of the Lord of the Pass Sovereign power and plans to integrate it on the eve of Holy Week in Cordoba, since they are currently carrying out a Stations of the Cross.
