The Seville Civil Guard opened an investigation after finding the lifeless body of a 44-year-old woman in La Algaba. There is no evidence that the victim was in the VioGen system, so the Armed Institute has all hypotheses open, not just that this is a case of gender-based violence.
Sources from Benemérita confirmed this Monday to Europa Press the appearance of this murdered woman, according to Diario de Sevilla. The information was given by 112 to the Civil Guard, who went to the location – Buganvilla street, in the municipality of Seville – where they located the lifeless body of the woman.
Andalusia has so far fourteen women murdered by gender-based violence in 2025, after the Ministry of Equality confirmed the case of a 30-year-old woman in the Sevillian town of El Viso del Alcor as a murder due to gender-based violence.
The El Viso victim was a 30-year-old woman, who was allegedly murdered by a 35-year-old man with whom the woman may have had a romantic relationship. The confirmed victim is the first murdered by gender-based violence in December.
