
Industrial production in the euro zone rose by 0.8% last October compared to September, when it rose by 0.2%, while it was two points higher compared to the same month in 2024, Eurostat reported this Monday.
Across the European Union (EU), manufacturing output grew by 0.3% compared to September, the month in which it increased by 1%. Year-on-year, industrial activity grew by 1.9%.
Among Member States for which data are available, the largest monthly increases were recorded in Ireland (+4%), Luxembourg (+3.6%) and Croatia (+3.1%). In contrast, the largest declines were observed in Sweden (-6.5%), Belgium (-3.4%) and Denmark (-3.2%).
Already year-on-year, the largest positive values were recorded in Ireland and Latvia (+8.7%), Greece (+6.9%) and Sweden (+5.7%), while the largest declines were recorded in Bulgaria (-7.6%), Slovakia (-3.7%) and Hungary (-2.6%).
In the case of Spain, industrial production accelerated by six tenths to 0.9% in October. However, production volume was 1.4% higher than the level of the same month of 2024.
