The president of the National Federation of Independent Associations (ATA) and vice-president of the CEOE, Lorenzo Lovedescribed as “illogical” and “alarming” the fact that there has been no General Budget in Spain (PGE) in the last three years. During his participation in an information meeting organized … in Jerez de la Frontera by Europa Press Andalusia with the help of the Cajasol Foundation and with the sponsorship of Moeve, entitled “Self-employed workers and entrepreneurs promote the Andalusia of the future”, Lorenzo Amor added in the sense that for any businessman the budget is “the road map”.
“Any CEO or CFO of a company that did not execute their budgets was not in mine,” said Lorenzo Amor, who added that “if as president of the ATA he did not approve the budgets he would have to be excluded, like the president of the Andalusian chambers, for example, if he did not approve the budgets of the chambers he could not continue.” “It is illogical that we do not have this roadmap with a budget”underlined the president of the ATA, who pleaded, taking as an example the growth of self-employed workers in Andalusia, for “stability, taxation, social peace and the taking of measures such as administrative simplification”.
In this sense, Amor argued that “the weakest link in the productive chain, in the commercial chain, which is that of the independent workers, in places where there is no stability, has a problem, because stability generates investments and when there are investments, the independent workers have work and orders, but there is also confidence in the consumer.” Likewise, he emphasized the importance of “taxation”, Because “investing in tax hell is not the same as investing in tax-friendly territories”.
Social peace is another of the elements indicated by the president of the ATA for the growth of independent workers, since it is difficult to invest in territories where there are conflicts. Finally, he also described it as “fundamental” that “measures” are articulated such as eliminating “the number of obstacles and procedures that independent workers receive at any time, who spend 12 days a year carrying out bureaucratic procedures”.
bureaucratic obstacles
In this regard, he stressed that the self-employed spend more than 4,000 euros on bureaucratic procedures, “which, if 4,000 euros are multiplied by 3,400,000 self-employed workers, means that bureaucratic procedures cost the self-employed 13.4 billion euros.”
Lorenzo Amor focused on the “obstacles and procedures” that independent workers must go through. “Every day they give us a new procedure”said, emphasizing, as an example, that “now the recording of time to which we have all adapted no longer seems to be valid and must be a telematic recording”.
In this sense, he highlighted that in 2024, 719 laws were approved in the Official State Gazette, 5% more than in 2023. “3,600 pages per day in the official journals, which may attract attention, but it means reading Don Quixote 811 times or being able to go from Jerez to Madrid without setting foot, putting each of the pages published last year in the official journals”, he pointed out. declared. The ATA president stressed that “we must continue to aim to eliminate obstacles and procedures.
Finally, the president of the ATA also pleaded for dialogue, to “listen to the independents”. “When you listen, when there is free-flowing social dialogue, when it is real and not a social monologue, the results come,” he said.
