The initiative gained visibility after scenes aired in the documentary series “The End of an Era”, which recorded team members’ reactions to receiving the bonus. Payments ranged from sound and lighting technicians to musicians, dancers, security guards, wardrobe professionals, makeup, pyrotechnics, structure setup, logistics, video and physical support, as well as suppliers and drivers responsible for the tour’s transportation.
In the production, the singer explains that she chose to organize individual bonuses for the dancers, musicians and members of the technical team who accompanied her throughout the concert season. The amounts paid to each professional were not detailed.
“The bonus day is very important because it sets a precedent for “The Eras Tour”. If the tour generates more profit, the people who work on it should receive more bonuses,” Taylor says in the documentary.
The artist also reports that she made a point of writing personal messages for each member of the team, a task that she says took about two weeks.
With performances that lasted more than three hours, “The Eras Tour” crossed five continents and totaled 152 shows held between 2023 and 2024. Recently, Taylor Swift said that she was physically exhausted after the marathon of performances ended.
