But this will not be the first time that the devices have been used in tournaments held by the South American Confederation (CONMEBOL). The 2024 Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana finals have previously enjoyed innovations, in addition to the two Recopa matches this season.
For the second year in a row, CONMEBOL will once again use the semi-automatic Juego Fuera in the CONMEBOL Finals @sudamericana And CONMEBOL @libertadores

In total, 24 specialized cameras will be installed around the Monumental and Defensores del Chaco stadiums. For the goal, which determines whether the ball has completely crossed the goal line, 14 cameras will be available, plus 10 for semi-automatic offside.
The first final in which the technology will be used again will be the Copa Sudamericana. On November 22, at 5pm (Brasilia time), Atlético MG and Lanus will face each other at Assunção Bar, at the Estadio Defendoures del Chaco, in the South American Championship. The Libertadores’ decision will be the following Saturday (29/11), in Lima, Peru, where Flamengo will compete against Palmeiras for the coveted trophy.
