Just because you put on a straight face when you speak doesn’t mean you’re friendlier or more convincing. Montesquieu already said that gravity is the shield of imbeciles, and that when this gravity is used continually, it is generally the mask of mediocre people who do not do it. … They realize, as Averroes had already warned, that stupidity is one of the four things that cannot be hidden for long.
These days we witness the continued appearance of political leaders who try to tease us, posing with serious gestures and emphatic expressions, to try to convince us of their utter estrangement and lack of understanding of the people around them who have committed acts as serious as the rampant corruption that is under investigation or the hidden sexual harassment in a group that boasts of feminism. Once again, from the sublime to the ridiculous there is only one step.
No doubt many socialists will be embarrassed by the political and moral deterioration to which the ill-fated primaries led, which elevated an unscrupulous ambitious man to the top not only of the party but also, consequently, of state government. Joaquín Leguina has already warned against the risk of leaving everything to the decision of a grassroots activism which feels attracted by those who say the most stupid things, ignoring the complexity of political action, its limits and its balances. And this is where lies part of the populist drift that is engulfing us and the low level of the current political class.
There is something that defines these upstarts who today flood us with prohibitions of all kinds, while they act without limits and fight for their own enrichment, which explains why none of those who support Sánchez is ready to stop doing so as long as he continues to milk the breasts of his desires. After leaving the presidency of SEPI, Vicente Fernández, right-hand man of “Marisú” Montero, was allegedly hired by Servinabar, Cerdán’s company, because he was a “specialist in public tenders”, which confirmed that Sanchismo is a specialist in choosing the most competent for each more or less obscure issue. In the Peugeot, Sánchez had to meditate to select the most appropriate in each subject, from prostitution to uncontrolled ratchet.
Sánchez surrounded himself with opportunists, corrupt people and sectarians because this is the basis of his permanence in power. If those who are part of Sanchism had the general interest as a priority, the degraded situation we know would not be possible. But Sánchez maintains his power thanks to left-wing populists, exclusive nationalists, unscrupulous separatists and subjects of the party of blind obedience to the fucking master, by his own definition. None of them care about the general interest of the Spanish people; Their specialty, in some cases, is the aversion to those who do not think like them, calling them fascists, and in others, for the exclusive interests of their homeland which they consider, with indigestible arrogance, more important than the rest of which, without shame or modesty, they claim not to be a part. And Sánchez goes to everyone without propriety or dignity, amid the shameful silence of his comrades.
Between specialists in the rat race, corruption, sexual degeneration and manipulation of the masses, Spain is walking towards the precipice of confrontation, social degradation and institutional distrust. The damage that Sánchez and his people are causing to citizen coexistence deserves historical condemnation of a moral nature, whatever their political and judicial future. And they will not be able to avoid this, even if they want to tease us by talking about “these gentlemen” whom they do not currently know or with whom they have only had anecdotal contact, after having burned their hands betting on the honesty of those who are today the subject of a judicial investigation.
“When someone turns politics into a dump, we send them to the trash,” said Castilla La Mancha president García Page. This is supposed to be advice that socialist activists should follow, and the few who still retain a modicum of respect for themselves and for the ideas they claim to defend would do well to follow it. Because you have to be very blind not to see that sanchism is over and that it is only supported by the inertia produced by the enjoyment of power. This is why Sánchez intends to muzzle the Church, the media and all those who freely express their opinion on institutional degradation and demand that it is the citizens who put an end to this regrettable situation.
Sánchez’s ambitious ambition drags political action into an abyss that responsible people who still remain in the public sphere must avoid. Ingratitude, pride and envy are evils of ambitious and resentful people. This evil cannot continue to guide the complexity of human relations, in a country like ours, capable of building a framework of coexistence that Sánchez and his partners are determined to destroy. Specialists in resentment and the exploitation of the public for their own benefit must disappear from the public sphere. The PSOE risks its own survival as a pillar party of the national reality if it does not want to be another satellite of the radical left populism that Sánchez leads today, with the support of separatists and philterrorists. A huge task, of course, because the wicked, the indecent and the advantageous, unfortunately, always walk together.
