A woman was seriously injured after being run over by her ex-partner, on the morning of Monday 15, in Vila Carrão, in the eastern area of São Paulo.
According to military police, the man was taking the couple’s daughter to school when he allegedly argued with his ex-wife and then knocked her down.
The victim was seriously injured when he was struck by the vehicle and crashed into a pole. She was rescued and taken to the Carrão Emergency Care Unit (UPA).
The woman had benefited from a measure of protection against her ex since Friday the 12th. The man was arrested by the military police moments after the crime. The case was registered at the 8th Women’s Defense Police Station.
