Roma beats Como with Wesley’s goal and recovers in Italian

Roma counted on the genius of Wesley to beat Como 1-0, this Monday (15), and end a streak of two defeats in the Italian Championship. The Brazilian scored the only goal of the match at the Olympic Stadium, in the final match of the 15th day of Serie A, and kept the team in the fight for the lead.

With this result, Roma reached 30 points and did not distance themselves from the leader, Inter Milan, with 33. Despite everything, the capital club occupies 4th place, still behind Naples and Milan, who complete the Italian G-4.

On the other hand, Como suffered a second consecutive defeat in the Italian Championship after a good run and lost the opportunity to stay in the G-6, the classification zone for the next European competitions. The team thus falls to 7th place, with 24 points.

Roma managed to win in front of their fans and deserved a positive result. The team created good chances with Soulé and Ferguson, but it was the Brazilian Wesley who secured the victory. Como, in turn, only managed to face the danger in the second half. However, the team gave the home team a scare, who held on for a simple victory until the final whistle.

In the next round, Roma will visit Juventus in a direct confrontation at the top of the table, next Saturday (20), at 4:45 p.m. (Brasilia time). Como, in turn, will look to recover on the same day, but at 11 a.m. (Brasilia time), when it visits Lecce.
