The actress Maitre Proença recalled, during the second episode of the program The Helenas of Manoel Carlos, who had to scold the child actress Tatiana Goulartwhen they both played the role of mother and daughter in the soap opera Happinessbroadcast between 1991 and 1992 on TV Globo.
According to Maitê, she was irritated when she realized that Tatyane had not memorized her lines before recording. So he decided to attract the attention of the young girl, who was only 8 years old at the time.
The veteran said she called the child actress to talk and asked her if she liked doing soap operas and if she wanted to continue. Given the positive response, he explained that Tatyane had to arrive on set with her lines memorized, as it was not possible for the entire team to wait.
However, Tatyane, in her childish simplicity, simply replied: “It’s not possible”, which made Maitê wonder why. The girl then explained that she was sharing the room with six other people. When Maitê suggested she study in the bathroom, she learned that the house only had one, which she had to share with 12 other people. That’s when, according to the actress, everything made sense.
“Then everything stopped, didn’t it? I said, ‘Well, let’s do the following, I’ll come here an hour before, you’ll also come an hour before, and we’ll decorate together and then we’ll rock it. What do you think?’. She said, ‘I think it’s good,'” Maitê Proença reported.
The actress said that from that point on, the two began rehearsing their lines before recording. What was initially intended to help Tatyane and avoid delays ended up also helping to make the characters even more similar on stage.
“We looked a lot alike. I think she started to look and imitate a little bit like a child. Maybe even subconsciously,” he said.
