In a direct confrontation for the G8 of the Women’s Volleyball Super League 2025/26, Sancor Maringá beat Batavo Mackenzie by 3 sets to 0 – partials of 25-21, 25-22, 25-19 -, Monday evening (15/12), at the Chico Neto gymnasium, in Maringá (PR), on the penultimate day of the competition.

This victory placed Maringá back in the ranking zone of the Copa Brasil – which brings together the eight best teams in the Superliga -, now with 12 points in seventh place.
Mackenzie remains tenth with 9 points and needs a tough combination of results in the final round to finish the round among the top eight. The Minas Gerais team must beat Sesc RJ Flamengo 3-0 or 3-1 in the last round and hope that Paulistano Barueri and Brasília lose 3-0 against Maringá and Fluminense, respectively. Sabrina shines
The switcher Sabrina, 21 years old, 1.82 m, starting as a starter in place of Gabi Cândido, finished the match with 13 points and won the VivaVôlei Trophy. Central Andressa also scored 13 points for the hosts and opposite Jaque scored 12. For Mackenzie, Saraelen, Arianne and Gabiru scored 9 points each.
Maringá ends its participation in the round against Paulistano Barueri next Friday (19/12), at 9 p.m., still at the Chico Neto gymnasium, in Maringá (PR), in a direct confrontation for a place in the G8 and the Copa Brasil. Mackenzie faces undefeated Sesc RJ Flamengo on the same day, at 6:30 p.m., in Belo Horizonte (MG).
