Chapecoense presented this Monday evening (15/12) the new main uniform that it will wear next season. The 2026 model carries strong symbolism: it marks the tenth anniversary of the plane crash that changed the club’s history and pays tribute to Atlético Nacional, the team that will face Chape in the 2016 Copa Sudamericana final.
Produced by Kappa, the jersey features green and white vertical stripes, directly inspired by the Colombian team’s traditional pattern. The choice seeks to recreate the look that would have been that of the decision that never took place because of the La Unión tragedy.
The central figure of the launch was former defender Neto, one of the survivors of the accident. In the announcement he highlighted the great gesture of Atlético Nacional, which renounced the continental title out of respect for Chapecoense.
“When everything seemed lost, we found strength in solidarity, in fraternal embrace and in the empathy that crossed borders. In the greatness of a club that, on the other side of the continent, lit the light that lit our way back,” Neto said.
The uniform also includes three special stamps in reference to the victims and the memory of the episode. One of them bears the phrase “Forever Remembered”, an expression which has become a symbol of mourning and unity around the club.
The shirt is already on pre-sale on the official Chape website, priced at R$359.90 for the men’s model, the only one available to date.

“In our most difficult days, the green of our colors brought us together. Ten years later, in an act of memory and respect, the number 1 jersey of the 2026 season will be a symbol of history and gratitude. A tribute to the greatness of a club that, on the other side of the continent, ignited the light that illuminated our path back. Para siempre hermanos. Forever.”
