December 10 will mark the beginning of a new phase in Congress and in the regional legislatures, with the arrival of some of its members but also with their departure. This is the case Yamil Santoroa lawmaker from the city of Buenos Aires who will end his term that day, in an early move, announced that he is already looking for new job opportunities. Just like Rep. María Eugenia Vidal when she chose not to join the electoral pact between the PRO party and La Libertad Avanza, the Buenos Aires leader turned to social networks to make his way into the world of work, “In the public and private sectors.”
“Friends, as I mentioned on LinkedIn, I am looking for a job“The United Republicans representative wrote in his X account, where he later expanded on the reasons for his announcement.
He stressed in the post that his legislative experience ends next month. “They have been intense, exciting years, full of challenges and learning. I have been fortunate to work with amazing people, from whom I have learned a lot,” he wrote, admitting that although he will “miss this phase,” he is excited for what is to come: “more time and energy to take on new professional challenges.”
then, Santoro reviewed his resume. He introduced himself as a lawyer who was “trained in business administration, communications, and public affairs,” and, in order to list his skills, was willing to undertake assignments related to “consulting, projects, businesses, or projects where he could add value.”
“I am interested in working in the private and public sectors,” he stressed, noting that he has the support of a “wonderful team” that has accompanied him these years in the legislature and is also ready to face new challenges.

Without further ado, in an open letter to the community, he made the specific request. “If you have any opportunities, suggestions, or just want to chat and brainstorm, I read to youSantoro added, who intended to renew his seat, but was excluded from the game after participating in the Buenos Aires elections last May 11, in which the list headed by the current Chief of Staff won. Manuel Adorni.
In those elections, the Portina Libertarian Union obtained 0.64% of the votes, after a campaign that included the failure to launch the candidacy of his brother Leandro Santoro, the namesake of the Peronist candidate, and even a dispute in electoral justice over the name and slogan of his political force.
The strategy that the lawmaker has resorted to now is the same one that Vidal used in August, after announcing that he would not be part of the alliance reached between the ruling National Party and the party led by Mauricio Macri for the legislative elections in October.
“On December 10, I will lose my job,” he said at the time in a post he published on the social network aimed at searching for work.
He added in the same tone that Yamil Santoro used Thursday to publish his job search memo: “I was governor, I was a representative, I signed and wrote laws, I made difficult decisions. But this time I decided not to take any office. Because I chose not to give up my convictions. That means I have to go out and look for work in the private sector.”
