Goiania – Lawyer Pedro Henrique Lopes Silva, 38, found dead in the metropolitan area of the capital Goiás, after having disappeared for four days, was tortured and killed with a stab wound to the neck, according to the Goiás Civil Police (PCGO).
The lawyer disappeared after a meeting with an alleged client. Her body was found in a wooded area on November 19. On the 21st, the main suspect in this case, Raffael Leandro Carneiro, was located and arrested by the military police in Mara Rosa, north of Goiás.
According to the company, three people were indicted for capital homicide, defamation of a corpse and concealment of a corpse. In addition to Raffael, João Vitor Lopes Teixeira and Larissa Santos do Nascimento were indicted for this crime. Both are considered fugitives.

The suspect’s friend
As the investigation indicates, the suspects were with their lawyer in a house, in Aparecida de Goiânia, also in the Goiânia metropolitan region. After stabbing Pedro to the neck, the trio placed his body in a vehicle and dumped it in Goianira, police concluded.
Initially, the family believed the victim had left home to meet a client, believed to be Raffael. However, throughout the investigation it was found that their relationship was merely friendly.
According to the delegate in charge of the investigation, Rogério Bicalho, the relationship between the victim and the main suspect was close. According to him, the two men had been drinking and using drugs together.
During his testimony, the suspect did not detail the motivations for the crime. However, the police believe that a trivial argument ended in tragedy.
Missing days
Pedro Henrique left his home in Setor Cidade Jardim on November 15 to supposedly meet a client in the Nova Brasília neighborhood of Aparecida de Goiânia. According to his mother, Marizeth Alves, he worked in the labor sector, but wanted to migrate to the criminal sector.
On the day he disappeared, the lawyer’s mother said her son sent a message to a friend saying he was being threatened and that if he didn’t respond, something could have happened.
Pedro’s car was filmed on Sunday November 16 by security cameras in the Pedro Ludovico sector, in Goiânia. On Tuesday, November 18, the car was found at the home of an acquaintance of the suspect.
The next day, the lawyer’s body was found. According to the technical-scientific police, the identification of the victim was made using the dental arch.
