The arrival of the heat is dire for the residents of Estancia Chica in Abasto due to the repeated power outages and the consequences that this lack brings.
According to them, there have been repeated problems with the power supply over the past month, ranging from outages to undervoltage, as was the case on Tuesday morning. “The day before yesterday we had power outages for several hours and now we have low voltage again. We can’t use the devices because we’re afraid they’ll burn. Additionally, you can’t use the air or ventilation when it’s hot,” it said.
According to them, “We are about 60 neighbors who live near 202nd Street (or on the way to Estancia Chica).” This is the artery that connects the city of Abasto to the Gimnasia property. “In the WhatsApp group where we are about 60 families, we all comment on how we are suffering due to this problem of lack of light amid the heat,” they said.
“We are looking at where we can protest because Edelap doesn’t give you the money. It takes between one and two days to fix a power outage, but then the problem repeats itself. We don’t give more,” they explained.
“The company gives you claim numbers, helps you via WhatsApp, but the solutions do not arrive,” they noted.
