Misiones police are searching for a woman accused of collecting money for her daughter and classmates’ graduation party. However, she ended up cheating on them, and both students and parents found out about it hours before the event, creating a climate of despair.
The case, which joins many others in the country, occurred in the mission city of Eldorado when the young people of the Provincial School of Commerce No. 19 learned that the mother, who was responsible for paying for the party hall and the entire event, had stolen the $17 million collected during the year.
According to the information, the 35 students found out about the event hours before the event when the parents, upon entering the room, discovered that the mother in charge, identified as Romina E., had not paid for catering, DJ, sound, lighting and other services, but had only paid the deposit for the place.
Although it is not confirmed, it may have been because the woman admitted that the money was not there and that she appeared to be suffering from gambling problems.
Now the police are intensively searching for her.
Despite the poor timing, it was confirmed that the young people had managed to hold their graduation ceremony after a crisis meeting with the hall, which allowed them to hold the celebration after paying more than $8 million.
The defendant’s daughter attended the event as her companions expressed that “she deserved to spend her night.”
Ramón Mercado, a lawyer and father of one of the students, filed a complaint.
