Thieves attacked, in the early hours of this Tuesday, the Gerson Bergher Family Clinic, located on Rua Cândido Benício, in Campinho, in the northern zone of Rio. The unit is located in the same block as the 28th DP (Praça Seca). The action was filmed by security cameras. In one of the images, a man is seen removing three iron doors. He puts them on his back and takes the equipment outside the health facility, where an accomplice was already waiting for him.

The suspect also stole a 40-inch television, four fire hoses, a water pump and even four faucets. The flight started shortly after midnight and did not end until around 2:40 a.m. Due to what happened, the health office could not operate in the morning and only returned to normal in the afternoon.

Daniel Soranz, municipal secretary of Health, informed, in a note, that he asked for speed in the investigation so that such episodes do not happen again. “The audacity of the bandits is such that they do not even respect the 28th police station, which is on the same block as the family clinic,” he wrote in an excerpt from the document.

Also contacted, the civil police indicated that the case is under investigation by the 28th DP (Praça Seca). According to a note sent by the corporation, an examination was carried out on site. The document adds that further investigations are underway to determine those responsible for the crime.
