The Civil Guard agent José María Verdugo Domínguezknown by drug traffickers as “Cobe Brayan” or “the cover”, was sent to preventive detention for his crucial role in the entry of 1,040 kilos of cocaine (valued at 15 million euros) along the Guadalquivir River in October 2025.
Collaboration and sabotage
Verdugo, a maritime service mechanic, operated for the gang of “the son of the marquis” loading 30,000 euros for each boat which he managed to remove. Its main function was sabotage the fast barges of the Civil Guardguaranteeing that they could not prosecute traffickers.
