The former organizational secretary of the PSOE Santos Cerdán responded this Wednesday to the remark of the UPN Senator María del Mar Caballero that he participated in the Senate’s “Koldo Commission” “alone” and without the accompaniment of socialist senators, proclaiming that it was “better alone than in bad company”.
During the appearance of Santos Cerdán in the Senate commission of inquiry into the “Koldo case”, the UPN deputy stated that, unlike his previous appearance, in which he attended with the support of the socialist senators, he was present with no one and only his lawyer.
Asked if he believed the PSOE had let him down, Santos Cerdán insisted that he did not need “the support of anyone”: “I didn’t ask for support either.” In fact, he has insisted that there are “many people” who believe him.
Santos Cerdán has also asked for “respect” for his wife Francisca Muñoz, considered by the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Guardia Civil to be the beneficiary of the alleged manipulations of public works for which Cerdán is under investigation. In a report in which the agents obtained a message from Cerdán’s partner Antxon Alonso, he warned that “la Paqui” is “known to all saleswomen in the Corte Inglés, no matter how much they spend.”
“It’s all speculation without evidence. It’s an unfinished WhatsApp conversation without seeing the beginning. There’s nothing more,” he explained.
