Known for its drinks, Liz Cocktail & Co. in Leblon has been transformed into a wine bar and is now called Liz Cocktail & Wine. The house has its own labels, such as organic Tannat Blanc and a selection of micro-lots of low-intervention wines.
Mixologist and businessman Tai Barbin had already launched his first wine list at the bar with 12 organic and natural labels, all micro-production and with minimal intervention. These are options full of freshness, identity and authenticity. The list includes Cherry Bomb Pinot Noir, from Monte Belo do Sul; Chardonnay Casa Eva, from Serra Gaúcha; Cartola Pinot, from Vacaria; and the Chilean Naranjo Torrontés, from Valle del Maule.
The menu has been enriched with more than 20 organic and natural labels, to be consumed at the bar and to take away, in the form of a wine shop. The bar will also offer tastings of different wines in three stages, which will change every month.
— The intention is to promote access to wine in a light and curious way. All labels can be purchased with a 10% discount and no service fees, making the experience even more special — says Tai.
The house also has its own wines, made by the Sanabria winery in southern Brazil. The first is Liz, an organic Tannat Blanc, delicate, floral and with an assertive personality. The second will be 679A, a light and fruity Cabernet Franc.
Host and curator André Vieira leads the experience at the show:
— I grew up in a bar and I inherited this profession. I am passionate about hospitality and everything around it. I am very excited about this phase. The world of wine has been quite a journey. It will be wonderful to present our findings to the public.
