Film director Steven Spielberg has released the first trailer for his new film titled Disclosure Day, in which the director returns to the world of UFOs and mysteries.
The film stars two-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner and Oscar nominee Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place) and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Josh O’Connor (Rivals, The Crown).
The cast also includes Oscar winner Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech,” “The Kingsman Saga”), Eve Hewson (“Sisters to Death,” “The Perfect Couple”) and Colman Domingo (“The Sing Sing Lives,” “Rustin”), a two-time Oscar nominee.
The screenwriter of “Jurassic Park” repeats
“Revelation Day,” based on a story by Spielberg, features a screenplay by David Koepp, whose previous work with the legendary director includes the screenplays for “Jurassic Park,” “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” “War of the Worlds” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
According to the production company, these titles have collectively grossed more than $3 billion worldwide. Koepp is also responsible for the screenplay for “Jurassic World: Revenant,” which will be released in 2025.
“Disclosure Day” sees the three-time Oscar winner, 78, return to the Alien-related genre he modernized with “Close Encounters Of The Third Kind” and continued with “ET” (ET: The Extra-Terrestrial) and “War of the Worlds.”
Shot in and around New Jersey, the film was kept far more secret than most of Spielberg’s projects. The campaign by marketing began with billboards in New York and Los Angeles with the slogan “All will be revealed.”
The trailer for the new film does not directly show aliens or unidentified flying objects, but is hinted at in some way through the protagonists’ dialogue.
