President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said this Wednesday (17) that, although it does not appear in opinion polls, the government ended the year in a favorable situation. At the opening of the last ministerial meeting of 2025, Lula said there were still political rivalries and polarization and that next year’s elections would be an “extreme to the type of country the Brazilian people want.”
Lula stressed that all the social policies that the government was to announce had already been announced. “There may be a lack of one social policy or another, and we will see how to remedy that,” he said.
According to the Head of the Republic, it is important to make the Brazilian people understand what happened in Brazil and that ministers and parties will have to define which camp they will be in during the elections. “Next year will be the year of telling the truth about the changes that have taken place,” the president said.
