UN Secretary-General António Guterres has called for containment and immediate relief of tensions between the United States and Venezuela, his spokesperson said Wednesday.
Guterres called on both countries to “honor their obligations under international law, including the United Nations Charter and any other applicable legal framework to safeguard peace in the region,” U.N. deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq told reporters.
